Water, water and more water!
1st December 2012
At the Isle some 270 acres disappear under The River Severn when it is in full flood, with the water level will coming up in the region of 14 foot in the space of about twenty four hours.
On average this will happen about twice a year and especially now as the water table is nearly at record heights. Practically for us we need to be ready to move sheep from the flood meadows to the safety of the dry holding pens at the drop of a hat.
