Boating on the Severn
1st July 2011
How nice to have summer with us again and the boats have been floated on The River Severn for some expeditions down to Shrewsbury.
The trip takes about one and a half hours finishing at the slipway just upstream of the Welsh Bridge. Along the way there is plenty to see including the Swan families, King Fishers and last year an Otter. People staying for Bed and Breakfast at the Isle are welcome to borrow one of our craft for themselves and we recommend a stop at Lillies Cafe in Shrewsbury (with its own mooring) for an ice-cream soda.
