It may be bleak and cold yet new life shows along The Isle Lane. Snow Drops we have been planting for the last seven years are showing through nicely.
Just one note of caution- try not to arrive after dark. The speed humps are not very easy to see in darkness, then its quite easy to get lost in the farmyard even when you are almost at the house.
Once we did thread our way through though, the welcome was warm and relaxing. A pot of tea served by a roaring log fire in the sitting room was very welcome.
We'd chosen the Blue and White Room, which was very comfortable. Loads of fun trying to figure out the massage settings on the bed!

Three generations of us booked most of the rooms at the Isle Estate as we were attending a family wedding nearby. Quite frankly, we would have been happy to stay at the house, with the delightful Ros and Edward, all weekend! In fact, we were really struggling to leave this beautiful spot and ended our visit with an amazing walk around the stunning river and lake. Just spent three nights enjoying the home of Ros and Edward Tate. They were extremely hospitable and made us all feel at home. Lovely home grown and cooked three course meals were provided every evening and were washed down with wine we had brought! Lovely surroundings and masses of animals everywhere was a winning combination for me.
Lovely house with wonderful views. Edward and Ros made us feel at home. Very comfortable stay in the Lavender Room. Delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

My friend and I had arranged a weekend in Shrewsbury to not only look around the area but also spend an evening on a ghost tour in the Prison. We found the Isle Estate online and what a find!
We arrived down the very long country lane to find the entrance which is marked with two lovely old wall posts. The lane continues with some big speed humps along the way, however these did not cause us any real issues in a larger car. You may need to becareful when going down ...
