It may be bleak and cold yet new life shows along The Isle Lane. Snow Drops we have been planting for the last seven years are showing through nicely.
We have just returned from a three night stay at The Isle. What a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Edward and Ros are the perfect hosts, so friendly and gave us such a warm welcome. Our room, the Blue room was spacious with lovely views from the window seats. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Edward shared the history of the Isle and took the time to show us around, very interesting. He suggested places to visit and I spent a lovely day visiting the aqueduct, canal and Llangollen.

Edward helped rescue my kayak. Wonderfully caring welcome at the Grange. Beautiful house and rooms. Excellent dinner and breakfast shared with fishermen guests. Extensive countryside opportunities....
Just spent three nights enjoying the home of Ros and Edward Tate. They were extremely hospitable and made us all feel at home. Lovely home grown and cooked three course meals were provided every evening and were washed down with wine we had brought! Lovely surroundings and masses of animals everywhere was a winning combination for me.
We have stayed here many times before and this is our third different room. This time a view over the river with the horses feeding and running happily around the fields, geese and guinea fowl wandering around freely. All rooms are fabulously decorated and in a charming comfortable way. All the beds are really really comfy too. Breakfast is the best and I compare this to other hotels of high quality - and this IS the best. Ros and Edward and family are warm welcoming hosts. Why stay anywhere else? We will be back again for sure.

A little concentration required to follow the excellent instructions on how to find them, but after that just relax! A great place. We were in the Blue & White Room (gorgeous). Lovely to have such a big room, lots of space, and beautiful bathroom.
Lovely breakfast (home made muesli). I don't eat wheat or dairy these days, and this was no problem for Ros. She very thoughtfully found me some special bread and spread, and made muesli with almond milk.
