Ros's runner beans doing well.
Lovely house with wonderful views. Edward and Ros made us feel at home. Very comfortable stay in the Lavender Room. Delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
I came back again as it was such a relaxing interesting visit a few years ago. Great to be remembered and spend an pleasant evening chatting , listening to Edwards fascinating knowledge of local history. Ask to see the little box of historical artefacts they have.
I stayed in the pink room again, overlooking the extensive grounds. The bed just softly supports you. The bath is huge and hot. Wifi is free and works in the room. I have noticed that this is not true in many older houses as the walls are so thick.
Breakfast is lovely wit...
Staying at The Isle is a lovely surprise. It really is a Country House. The views are wonderful. The rooms etc. are gracious, beautifully laid out, and comprise a mixture of taste, comfort, and a splash of luxury. But what is more unusual is that for all the splendour of the surroundings, the welcome and hospitality is generous and genuine. The hosts, thoughtful, friendly and kind.

We have stayed here many times before and this is our third different room. This time a view over the river with the horses feeding and running happily around the fields, geese and guinea fowl wandering around freely. All rooms are fabulously decorated and in a charming comfortable way. All the beds are really really comfy too. Breakfast is the best and I compare this to other hotels of high quality - and this IS the best. Ros and Edward and family are warm welcoming hosts. Why stay anywhere else? We will be back again for sure.

What an absolutely beautiful and magical place to spend a weekend!
My friend and I had arranged a weekend in Shrewsbury to not only look around the area but also spend an evening on a ghost tour in the Prison. We found the Isle Estate online and what a find!
We arrived down the very long country lane to find the entrance which is marked with two lovely old wall posts. The lane continues with some big speed humps along the way, however these did not cause us any real issues in a larger car. You may need to becareful when going down ...
