Staying at The Isle is a lovely surprise. It really is a Country House. The views are wonderful. The rooms etc. are gracious, beautifully laid out, and comprise a mixture of taste, comfort, and a splash of luxury. But what is more unusual is that for all the splendour of the surroundings, the welcome and hospitality is generous and genuine. The hosts, thoughtful, friendly and kind.

Our stay at The Isle was a delight . Quintessentially English, a little bit eccentric and generous of their time and commitment to their guests' enjoyment and comfort Edward and Ros were the perfect hosts. All the boxes, and more, were ticked as far as the accommodation was concerned, not because they have to, but because they want to. This was our second visit to this wonderful place. But it's not just an impressively beautiful house with equally impressive and lovely grounds. It's all that for sure but it's above all owned and run by Edward and Ros, who are the nicest and most generous people you could ever meet. Nothing seems to bother or be too daunting for these 2. As Ros said, when you arrive you'd think they'd be posh and snotty, but they're not, not at all, they really make you feel at home from the second you go through the door.

What an absolutely beautiful and magical place to spend a weekend!
My friend and I had arranged a weekend in Shrewsbury to not only look around the area but also spend an evening on a ghost tour in the Prison. We found the Isle Estate online and what a find!
We arrived down the very long country lane to find the entrance which is marked with two lovely old wall posts. The lane continues with some big speed humps along the way, however these did not cause us any real issues in a larger car. You may need to becareful when going down ...
