In common with the rest of the country is cold here and we have all been skating on the lake for the first time since the cold winters in the early 1980's.
Date: 1st January 2010
We have stayed here many times before and this is our third different room. This time a view over the river with the horses feeding and running happily around the fields, geese and guinea fowl wandering around freely. All rooms are fabulously decorated and in a charming comfortable way. All the beds are really really comfy too. Breakfast is the best and I compare this to other hotels of high quality - and this IS the best. Ros and Edward and family are warm welcoming hosts. Why stay anywhere else? We will be back again for sure.

This was the most wonderful place to bring a horse. We rode out each day for two hours on the estate without putting foot on a road. Wonderful canters on the banks of the Severn, on headlands and across grassland. If we'd wanted to, we could have jumped any number of cross country fences, used the indoor or outdoor arenas or had a lesson. The bedroom was perfect too, very comfortable and a flask of milk provided for our early morning tea. Breakfast delicious. Hosts Ros and Edward extremely helpful and very friendly, nothing too much t...

Just spent three nights enjoying the home of Ros and Edward Tate. They were extremely hospitable and made us all feel at home. Lovely home grown and cooked three course meals were provided every evening and were washed down with wine we had brought! Lovely surroundings and masses of animals everywhere was a winning combination for me.
Three generations of us booked most of the rooms at the Isle Estate as we were attending a family wedding nearby. Quite frankly, we would have been happy to stay at the house, with the delightful Ros and Edward, all weekend! In fact, we were really struggling to leave this beautiful spot and ended our visit with an amazing walk around the stunning river and lake. The owners of this beautiful farm are so welcoming and we really did feel 'at home'. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, with sumptuous beds and a lovely attention to d...
