Work started on new livery yard - Isle Grange
1st February 2010
Works have started in earnest converting the former dairy at the Isle grange into the new livery yard.
Last used in 1983 it will soon prove once again to be asset to the Isle as well as offering first class facilities to liveries. Many thanks to Tony Holloway who used to milk in the buildings for taking the time to talk through the drainage systems.
What a lovely place this is. The family could not have been more welcoming and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms were inviting. Setting was idyllic. Everything was perfect and we joyed a relaxing stay.

What a great place! A little concentration required to follow the excellent instructions on how to find them, but after that just relax! A great place. We were in the Blue & White Room (gorgeous). Lovely to have such a big room, lots of space, and beautiful bathroom. Lovely breakfast (home made muesli). I don't eat wheat or dairy these days, and this was no problem for Ros. She very thoughtfully found me some special bread and spread, and made muesli with almond milk. We ate out Friday night in Shrewsbury www.henrytudorhouse.com (v...

My stay at The Isle Estate was first rate and I regretted that it was for just two nights. The house and accommodation are charming, comfortable, and with real character, and my hosts could not have been more warm, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts were expertly prepared using high quality local ingredients and the evening meal on my first night was similarly excellent with fresh vegetables from the garden and a very generous portion of chicken from a neighbour. I have every intention of returning when I have more time availabl...

We have just returned from a three night stay at The Isle. What a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Edward and Ros are the perfect hosts, so friendly and gave us such a warm welcome. Our room, the Blue room was spacious with lovely views from the window seats. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Edward shared the history of the Isle and took the time to show us around, very interesting. He suggested places to visit and I spent a lovely day visiting the aqueduct, canal and Llangollen. This has to be our favourite B and B and...

Staying at The Isle is a lovely surprise. It really is a Country House. The views are wonderful. The rooms etc. are gracious, beautifully laid out, and comprise a mixture of taste, comfort, and a splash of luxury. But what is more unusual is that for all the splendour of the surroundings, the welcome and hospitality is generous and genuine. The hosts, thoughtful, friendly and kind. We woke up to a magical frosty morning after an arrival to tea and biscuits night before served in front of a log fire by Ed in the drawing room, Breakfa...
